Unscrupulously for his audience, Midas continues to produce with all his games for a mediocre rare, regardless of the style of play elsewhere. Almost as if all the gold he touched turned to dung.
Midas tried everything to find a place in the gaming landscape: racing cars, sports games, puzzle games, everything is past and nothing worked. Midas has never shone as metal whose name is yet talking about. Every game, I can hardly imagine the discomfiture of the development teams that learn with amazement that they have signed with Midas. On the one hand, I pour a little tear for all those singles who have invested in a joint project (bah yes, we can not possibly claim to raise a family in Working at Midas), on the other I think that they had to apply a little to produce a game or even better find another editor, more ambitious and demanding. Well, enough of talk, a new batch of titles has just come to the drafting and fate chose me to cause you Rollercoaster World. An honor which I am very happy past.
Please fasten your seatbelts and keep your arms inside the car.
Rollercoaster, that means mountain Rican Russian and world, that world. So now that Midas presents his vision of "world of Russian mountain", a rather sad place, judging by the dull colors that drive the display and the geometric buildings are mushrooming in this country. Already, we did not specifically want to stick around for fun, but since that is where are the attractions, we will have to make an effort. Here come the machines just to vomit. As ugly as the surrounding landscape, the tracks seem to have been drawn to the rule, with angles (not curves) constructed at right angles. There was an after thought for the small virtual characters who will climb into the baskets. Be prepared not to feel your butt for a few days, guys, it could severely shake! Especially since Rollercoaster World wants completely wacky in the creation of attractions. It makes us believe that safety rules are followed, but we do not hesitate to raise the rails to several hundred meters above the ground and return them in all directions. Finally, this is not a criticism, since to some extent, it creates what is impossible in reality. Moreover, during the course, the title does not hesitate to count users who vomit, running from the eye, who wet the seat or even ejected from that car! This is far from mind Rollercoaster Tycoon, I tell you ...
Cool, you can put lots of shoe boxes in the park!
Two modes are freely available to us from the main menu. The first is only used to assemble the rails to a Russian mountain, while the latter wants to be a bit more comprehensive since it allows to build an amusement park as a whole. Whatever the mode, the same fault is to be noted: the lousy interface stifles all creative minds and prevents us from really doing what we want. This is really unplayable in addition to being totally ugly. And I do not even mention the fact that all texts are in English! The development tool roller coaster consists of four tables reminiscent of a 3D object editor as can be seen in the graphic studios. The big difference lies in the handling, as you will need to do everything using a joystick and not a mouse. The resolution is also lower than on a computer screen, it was very difficult to distinguish the evolution of his work, any wire. We must always put the camera, change camera angles, zoom and turn again to see that the rail tends to the left so we wanted to point to the right. Again, the interface is zero! This also applies to the editor of amusement parks. The placement of the rides and buildings is intended to control heavy and really not very intuitive. Between analog stick and directional pad, it has quickly become entangled in the controls. To finish on a high note indicative of the quality of the product, the rides, even twisted in knots and loops of incredible crazy, make no sense of speed or dizzy when you place the camera in front of the first basket. The controller only vibrates as the train eats elevations, nothing more, nothing less. One wonders why there was so tired to build his career in the end if nothing happens. Strange, since the game constantly encourages us to accumulate the force G to give the thrill to users. But nothing, except the counter that rises at the bottom of the screen, nothing really differentiates one from another successful ride. By cons, for Rollercoaster World, there is no picture: all separates a successful game. That's the Midas' Touch!
